This two-day workshop is designed for maintenance personnel who are responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of LP or natural gas furnaces, electric furnaces, and heat pumps. Information on how to properly install, maintain, and troubleshoot gas and electric furnaces and heat pumps is covered in step-by-step detail. The topics of proper air flow in heating equipment, how to identify and solve duct problems, safety, and proper use of test and service equipment related to servicing gas and electric furnaces and heat pumps are demonstrated. This workshop is appropriate for both those maintenance personnel who are experienced in furnace and heat pump servicing, as well as those who work in a non-HVACR department and want to cross train. It is also appropriate for HVACR installers who want to move up to service.
An
interactive, take-home workbook that visually and descriptively explains
how to test components, use wiring diagrams, and diagnose heating
equipment problems is issued to each participant for use during the
workshop, also serves as a reference manual for use later on the job.

This two-day workshop is designed for maintenance personnel who are responsible for the preventive maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting and repairing of residential appliances, such as refrigerators and freezers and gas and electric ranges. The explanation of specific refrigeration and electrical systems, and their components, is emphasized throughout the workshop, with an emphasis on troubleshooting and repair. Workbooks that descriptively explain and show in detail the operation of refrigeration and electrical components are used throughout the workshop, and taken home for
use on the job.

and bolts of electrical, air flow and refrigeration system
troubleshooting

This 2-day
hands-on workshop is designed specifically for technicians
who are responsible for the preventative maintenance, servicing, and
repair of electrical, refrigeration, and air flow
systems in residential A/C (including heat pumps)
equipment, and light commercial refrigeration equipment. The first segment
focuses on the fundamental principles technicians need to understand about
electrical
troubleshooting systems attendees learn by wiring
circuits and using meters to test components. The second
segment provides a hands-on learning experience in which workshop
attendees work with actual refrigeration systems, learning
how to connect gauges, troubleshoot system problems, recover refrigerant,
and evacuate and recharge. Each attendee will be issued take-home workshop
manual for use later on the job. This workshop is also serves as an
excellent preparation workshop for technicians pursuing NATE core exam
certification.
